NFRC Awards 2026 – Finalists Again

Another year. Another NFRC Awards Final.

RMG were proud finalists once again at the UK Roofing Awards 2026.

This year, we were nominated for a completely different discipline to last year, which makes this one even more special to us.

Last year, we reached both the LRWA Awards Final and the NFRC Awards Final for our cold-applied liquid roofing project at the William McAlpine property, Lady McAlpine House.

This year, we were recognised for something completely different — our specialist slating and in-roof solar project in Wokingham using the SolFiT in-roof solar system alongside beautiful natural Spanish slate.

The project itself means a lot to us personally.

For the first time in a couple of years, Daryl actually went back on the tools for this one, despite now operating purely as Managing Director. The reason was simple — this roof belonged to his best man from our wedding 16 years ago.

Sometimes certain projects just mean more than money or business.

Unfortunately, we didn’t bring home the winner’s trophy this year, but honestly, just reaching these finals consistently means a huge amount to us as a company.

Winning an award has always been one of RMG’s biggest goals, and we know one day it will happen. But good things don’t come easy in this industry. You have to keep working hard, keep improving, keep producing quality projects, and keep putting yourself forward year after year.

To continue being recognised on a national level alongside some of the biggest and best roofing contractors in the UK is something we never take for granted.

For us at RMG, it has always been about producing spectacular projects and being recognised by the professionals and leaders within the roofing industry for high-quality workmanship and the standards we deliver.

And if we’re honest, we know we’ve got some fantastic projects coming this year that we’ll hopefully be putting forward too.

A massive congratulations to all the finalists and winners on the night.

One of the best parts of these events is genuinely sitting there like a kid watching all the incredible roofing projects come onto the screen and seeing the level of workmanship being produced across the country. It’s inspiring and motivating at the same time.

The NFRC absolutely pulled it out of the bag this year as well.

The entertainment, comedians, singing, dancing, the whole room up doing the Macarena — it was honestly a brilliant evening from start to finish and probably the best one yet.

So congratulations again to the NFRC for delivering another fantastic event.

And finally, thank you to everyone who continues supporting RMG.

We’re still building.
Still learning.
Still growing.
And we’re not done yet.

Managing Director
